President: Mrs Alba Lou Guillén
Bachelor in Law and Private Investigation. Court Procurator. Non-practicing lawyer. Involved in several women’s associations, she is a member of the Women’s Council of the City of Cornellà de Llobregat. She has been involved in the associative and leisure world as a monitor and director, where she was a member of the Executive Board of CIJ Mowgli.
Vice-president: Mr. Assumpta Baig i Torras
Teacher. Eighteen years of work in local government on educational and gender issues. She has been a Member of Parliament in the Parliament of Catalonia and a Senator representing Catalonia.
Secretary: Mr. Joan lluís Piqué Sánchez
Graduate in Nursing and civil servant in the Health Inspection Corps of the Ministry of Health, currently retired. He has been Head of Section of the Health Regions of Barcelona City and Barcelonès Nord and Maresme, Head of the Citizen Care Service of the Health Region of Barcelonès Nord and Maresme; at international level, he has been a consultant for various programmes and Director of Health Programmes and Health Management in Brazil. Director of the World Bank’s Primary Health Care Health Evaluation Programme in Panama, Director of the World Bank’s Programme for Improving Nutrition in Communities at Risk in San Salvador, Director of the Health Services Evaluation Programme of the Nicaraguan Public Insurance Fund.
Treasurer: Dr. Mercè Gascó Cano
Doctor in Medicine from the University of Barcelona. Expert in Reproductive Health Programmes and Cooperation for Development. Consultant for WHO-Europe. Former President of the Spanish Federation of Family Planning. She is currently Technical Advisor of the International Division of John Snow, Inc.

Economist and expert in Public Administration. She has been Vice-President of the Women’s Federation for Equality. She has developed managerial tasks in the field of Health, Cooperation with City Councils, Housing, Corporate Communication and Evaluation in the Diputació de Barcelona.
Member: Mr. Vicente Ortún Rubio
Emeritus professor and former dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). Founder, former director and principal investigator of the Centre for Research in Economics and Health (CRES-UPF), awarded for knowledge transfer. Co-director of MADS in Madrid, editor of Gestión Clínica y Sanitaria, member of the Governing Council of Parc de Salud Mar, UPF delegate in TecnoCampus, author of more than 450 publications, former president of AES and SESPAS.

Doctor of Law. Lawyer. Professor of International Law at the University of Barcelona and ESADE. Specialist in International Law, Community Law, Foreign Nationality, Asylum, and Commercial Law. He has been a member of the Board of the Illustrious Bar Association of Barcelona. Founding partner of Roca & Junyent Lawyers; President of the Association for the United Nations in Spain; President of the Editorial Board of MON JURÍDIC (Journal of the Illustrious Bar Association of Barcelona) and Former President of the Catalan Council of the European Movement.

Professor of International Private Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, currently retired. Member of the Socialist Group in the 7th and 8th legislature of the Catalan Parliament. Rapporteur for the 2006 Statute of Catalonia. Currently President of the Association Amunt-acción por la Justicia Social.
Member: Sra.Cristina Iniesta Blasco
Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona. She is currently Assistant to the Management of Parc de Salut Mar, coordinates the Strategic Alliance C-17, President of the Catalan Network of Hospitals and Health Promoting Centres of Catalonia, Member of the International Directory of Health Promoting Hospitals and Member of the Provincial Council of Catalonia against Cancer AECC.
Member: Sra. Huma Jamshed Bashir
PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is currently President of the Asociación Cultural Educativa y Operativa de Mujeres Paquistaníes (ACESOP), a social and economic entrepreneur in the tourism sector between Spain and Southeast Asia. Award from the Mossos d’Esquadra, Women’s Civil Rights, Municipal Council of Immigration and Certificate of Merit from the Government of Pakistan.
Member: Sra. Aissatou Diallo Bah
Educator of minors, cultural mediator and interpreter of African languages. She has worked for the government of the Republic of Guinea and arrived in Spain in 2005 as a consular agent. Activist against gender violence, especially in the areas of female genital mutilation and forced marriage. Founder of the Humanitarian Association Against Female Genital Mutilation of African Women, promoter of networks for the coordination of African women’s associations, member of the FGM Free Network, President of the Association pour le Développement de Donguel Sigon.

Member: Sra. Montserrat García Llovera
With a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and a diploma in Public Administration from ESADE, she is a general administration technician at the Barcelona Provincial Council, where she held various positions in the areas of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She has been Deputy Director General of Rehabilitation and Health Programmes, of Penitentiary Services of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat de Catalunya and from October 2007 to October 2011 she was subdelegate of the Government in the province of Barcelona. Between October and December 2011 she was Government Delegate in Catalonia, replacing Joan Rangel.
Member: Sra. Marianela Rosa Peña
Marianela Rosa has a degree in History and Philosophy and a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences. For thirty years she has been a teacher and researcher at the Pedagogical University of Santiago de Cuba, as well as director of Science and Technology and researcher at the Casa del Caribe in Santiago de Cuba. Currently, she is a cultural promoter and Project Coordinator at Fedelatina.
Managing Director: Dra. Elvira Méndez Méndez
Medical doctor specialising in preventive medicine and public health. She has been a lecturer in Political Science at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. She has been assistant to the management of the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona. She has been technical collaborator of the Cancer Prevention and Control Service of the Catalan Institute of Oncology and technical collaborator of the CRONICAT Programme of the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has been Deputy Director of Programmes and Health Promotion at the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs. She is currently President of the Advisory Council for Timetable Reform in Catalonia, member of the United Nations Association in Spain and member of the Union of Family Associations.
